The long awaited for "Vocational Training Center" is now up and running. Although the vocational building still requires further building, the children have already begun learning some of the skills that have been prepared by LGTH. Skill training is an important part of Let’s Give Them Hope Zimbabwe as unemployment increases. There is an estimated 90% unemployment and a lot of the affected people are young people. The vocational center has a vision to prepare the young people in trade skills that remain in demand. These trades will not only open doors for employment but allow the young people to be self employed and be able to use the skills to benefit their families. LGTH has begun with two trades which are carpentry and sewing. We hope to increase the skills taught as we go on. A lot of money is still required in order to provide incentives for teachers, buy material and tools needed to have a great impact.
